How To grow Plants In Sinespace
Here We Go….Growing Plants In Sinespace.

Your going to need Both Unity 2020 and Sinespace Editor Pack For this. Sinespace can be found in Unity Asset Store.

I am going to use a Corn asset from Sketchfab for this tutorial but you can use all kinds of things. I will also put the link at the bottom. After you download your corn, put it in your Unity project

There are so many ways to do this but I prefer to do it with animations so you can see it growing inworld, to me that is a little more realistic than phases. Your going to want to make sure you can scale the asset in unity, you don’t want your corn stretching from the center you want it at the bottom. I like to put mine in a empty so I can stretch the Empty and not the asset.
When you have your corn asset inside of a Empty and its stretching in the right way, let’s add a animation to this.
In the Unity Editor, navigate to the top menu bar and select Window > Animation > Animation. This will open the Animation window, which can be docked anywhere in your layout for convenience, often placed horizontally for better visibility of the timeline..
Ok, you have added your animation, this will add a animator to your Object. There are three things you should do from here. Add a Collider, add a Sinespace Clickable and Uncheck the animation Box. You don’t want your corn growing before its clicked. When you click the Object it starts the animation.
Ok lets Test It in preview.
Ok Its all working as it should. Whats Next? lets Tweek the settings and add a harvest to the animation so when its done growing it produces something. In Your Assets you will see a Animation and a Animation Controller that was not there when you started. You want to click the controller.

Make sure your Loop does not have a check by it. and you can also set your speed for growth if you click the animation again.


That’s It! This can be used on any plant not just corn, you could have flowers at the end of the animation that appear when the plant is fully grown. You can also add a Harvest to collect in the animation when its at its end of the last frame.
